Guided Blind Wine Tasting

Blind wine tasting is the skill of determining the varietal, region, vintage & quality by only using your senses . . .

You probably have seen the movie Somm to watch four candidates for 'Master' from the Court of Master Sommeliers do what seems the incredible & impossible. They stick their nose in a glass of wine, give it a swirl, take a few sniffs, followed by a couple of sips that are then rolled around their mouths. Without seeing the bottle, they then name the Varietal(s), Region and Vintage. Out of the oceans of wine out there, both good and bad, how could they possibly know what this one particular wine is? How do they do it? Chuck will teach you the techniques used by the professionals and help you gain the knowledge neccessary to perfect that skill.

Do you really like wine?

Do you drink a lot of wine and comfortable describing it out loud? Believe it or not, there is an art & skill to tasting a wine blind and then deciphering what it is. Like any scientific query, there is a set way to solving the problem. Think of your glass as a jigsaw puzzle with the of the wine bottle the finished image. The sight, smell and taste of the wine are individual pieces of the puzzle.
