Building the San Diego Wineries Directory

Seceral years ago, Carolina and I started talking about visting some local wineries after picking up a pamphlet for the San Diego Winery Association in a hotel lobby. I started to try and research what was close to us, and found the information dis-jointed. Depending on what association the winery belonged to, how well the owner promoted themselves, or what terms I used in Google I always got different lists. I built the directory website as a personal project as a to-do list for my wife & I for weekends. I began to collect all the local San Diego Wineries that offered Tastings, and it quickly turned into much more for me after meeting some of those fine winemakers. After seeing the number of San Diego wineries available for us to visit, and the fact that it had taken me 5+ websites to find them all, I saw an opportunity to help the growing viticulture industry here in Southern California. 

The SanDiegoWineries.directory was created for the purpose of promoting the San Diego County Winery industry and supporting businesses / organizations. As well as help me find all the local producers in my backyard. I already had a long journy Exploring Wine of the world, and now I can explore the Wines of Southern California.
